Speed up your Linux + optimize useless files
There is several applications that do the same thing, but preload is probably easiest one to get going with.
preload is an adaptive readahead daemon. It monitors applications that users run, and by analyzing this data, predicts what applications users might run, and fetches those binaries and their dependencies into memory for faster startup times.
Fastest way to install it, is through Terminal. Open Termial and write:
sudo conary update preload
To check if its been started, write this in Terminal:
ps ax | grep preload
and you will see:
1743 ? SNs 0:00 /usr/sbin/preload –verbose 1
