I always used Blastbits to create Foresight Linux installation usb sticks. But now i think i will use unetbootin instead, feels safer.
Installed unpublished Foresight XFCE 2.1.2 version into a 1GB usb stick. Worked fine, tried to boot it from usb stick, worked fine too. Could install xfce from usb stick.
Warning
But now someone told me that unetbootin may screw up the ISO dir structure, so beware when you are gonna try it.
I hope someone can confirm its ok or not when created a usb stick with unetbootin. (Foresight Linux ISO files)
To install it and try it out, open Terminal and write:
sudo conary update {mtools,unetbootin}=@fl:2-devel
Google Chrome 4.0.219.3
GNU/Linux x64Wasnt i live iso image, thought it worked on every iso that was either live or installation iso. and yes it format the usb stick.
So i tried a installlation iso, could boot it up and start to install Foresight. Never went through whole installation, as i dont have a computer i can reinstall foresight on.
Firefox 3.6.3
Foresight Linux 3.6uintbooin doesn’t format the whole disk, as I tried and as described on wikipedia.

Was that a LIVE iso image? When I tried it, it only worked with LIVE media and not standard install iso. Also, unetbootin and blastbits destroy data and format the device. A 200gig USB stick ends up being a 198gig waste of space. I usually just extract the isolinux components and convert them to syslinux namespace, then install syslinux on the device. I can carry multiple iso files on a single device and boot any one I choose.
